2. Café Mocha Smoothie


  • ¾ c chilled brewed coffee
  • 1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
  • ½ c whole milk
  • 1 scoop unsweetened vanilla or chocolate whey protein powder
  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Method of Preparation:

For making a smoothie in the blender, combine all ingredients with ½ cup ice. Blend until frothy, about 1 minute.

3. Bacon-Almond Pancakes


  • ¼ c almond meal
  • 2 Tbsp coconut flour
  • 2 Tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 2 slices Canadian bacon, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ c fat-free Greek yogurt, plus more if needed
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • Ground cinnamon, for serving

Method of Preparation:

1. Mix almond meal, coconut flour, and flaxseed and add bacon into it.

2. Combine eggs and yogurt. Stir into flour until combined. If better is thick add 1Tsp yogurt at a time until its proper consistency.

3. Heat oil in griddle or skillet over medium heat. Pour batter in 4 circles onto cooking surface, using ¼ cup per pancake. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, carefully turning once, or until lightly browned on both sides. Drizzle each serving with 1 tsp of the syrup and dust with cinnamon.
