Shedding off those nasty pounds that you pile up on your body during pregnancy, and Chrissy Teigen gets super real about all the stress and efforts celebrities have to put in to get back their shapely curves.
The model/cooking author has always been very real and honest, and in a recent interview on the Today Show, she spoke about her journey of motherhood and how it impacted her life. It’s been only seven months since Chrissy and her husband John Legend brought home their beautiful daughter Luna Simone. And she has been kind enough to lend some extremely useful advice to all those mom who want to shed off their post-baby pounds right away and fast.
Chrissy said,
“Anyone in the public eye, we have all the help we could ever need to be able to shed everything. So I think people get this jaded sensation that everybody’s losing it so quickly, but we just happen to be the ones who are out there. We have nutritionists, we have dietitians, we have trainers, we have our own schedules, we have nannies. We have people who make it possible for us to get back into shape. But nobody should feel like that’s normal, or like that’s realistic.”
Chrissy has been very vocal against “mommy shammers” who have been pointing her out for things like for holding her little girl too near the stove or her seat in the car over social media. She wants all these people to see the real and consequential effects of motherhood and their transitions as women. She revealed,
“I think a lot of the mood stuff that happens afterwards isn’t really talked about, whether it’s postpartum depression or really just, for me, some days, I wouldn’t know how to cope with work and juggle things and still have time for a husband life. And that was really tough for me, and I think just the mere act of losing those endorphins, I think I was slightly cursed by having such a great pregnancy and being so happy and having so much energy, that just the decline of all those endorphins, and all the prenatals and everything I was on and how healthy I was, naturally made my mood change. There were periods where you get super dark.”
Now even though little baby Luna loves her singer dad a great deal more, Chrissy admitted that we would never want to give up being Luna’s mom for the world. She gushed over the adorable relationship her daughter shares with father John Legend, saying,
“Whatever this father-daughter relationship is, it starts so quickly, because I thought they grew into being daddy’s girls. No, it was the second she came out.”
