As award season is on peak and winning award is an honor. Red carpet of 19th Annual Designers Guild Awards is the latest event of Awards season that was held on 21st February 2017. On Tuesday evening there were a lot of stars under one roof at the Beverly Hilton California, United States.
This event was hosted by Mandy Moore. Meryl Steep received Distinguished Collaborator Award; Lily Collins received Lacoste Spotlight Award while Jeffrey Kurland received Career Achievement Award. Lois DeArmond won Distinguished Service Award and Red Turner for Hall of Fame. These five people received Guild Honors.
La La Land, Doctor Strange and Hidden figures were the victors for excellence in various categories. La La land won award for Excellence in Contemporary Film, Doctor Strange for Excellence in Fantasy Film and Hidden Figures for Excellence in Period Film. In the Television Series, The Crown was Outstanding Period Television Series and Game of Thrones was Outstanding Fantasy Television Series.
Well, on the Television side Netflix led all the networks that was nominated for four nominations and won Outstanding Period Television Series for The Crown. HBO also did well and won trophy for Outstanding Fantasy Television Series. All the stars were looking amazing and excited on red carpet.
